my epson r290

my hubby greeted me with the new epson r290! he said this is for my birthday, christmas, valentine, easter, anniversary etc and etc. joke.

i tried printing so that i would know if this needs replacement since i have 7 days for it. of course i was impressed with the performance. fast and crisp! this is equipped with a photo enhance system where it automatically enhances your photo into a brilliant one. plus the claria photographic ink will surely make your photo look like it just came out right from a developing station.

photo sample may vary from actual pic here because of the camera's exposure.

unforgettable place

this is an experimental layout because i really do not journal so much like this. i was inspired by memory makers book "dare..." wherein an artist ( i forgot her name, not contes though) made a layout full of journal and some 1x1 pics in a film strip like way...

i did some paints here and stamping too.

materials: colorbok pattern paper; embellishments - colorbok die cuts, love elsie rubons, AC arow, colorbox chalk ink; inque botique stamps; MM acrylic paints; whispers markers

fate

materials: a2z papers; maya road chipboard; marah johnson chipboard and sticker; jenny bowlin journal cards; stickles; prima flowers; blings; MM brads; distress embossing powder orange

i cut the strips of a2z papers and lined them in every direction to create dimensions using papers.

i also folded a strip on the top portion and sort of curled it creating a partial open space. the brad holds it.
this was fate. au and tin were great scrappers. they also deserve to win.

my first art doll ( with instructions)

Barbara is my first art doll. i bought her for 100 bucks.

FACE:
materials - maya road swirl embossed with gold and rambly rose, fibers, embossing powder
metal charm ( MLA); jewel bling teal ( SH)

instructions:
1. cut barbara's hair from long curls into short nearly bald style
2. i used blue fiber and placed them around barbara's head enough to expose some of her original hair.
3. use the swirl as headdress.

BODY FRONT:
materials- prima flowers, sepia accents, bling from michelle's (c/0 nita), stickles, buttons, paints, lace, revet from ace hardware, marah johnson epoxy sticker (VC); 7 gypsies paper, MM sea foam glaze, MM deep sea, sunflower and celery acrylic paint, luminarte shimmering mist iridescent green (VC), pebeo metal paints

6. position blings for the necklace.
7. use primas and sepia accents for the centerpiece. stick epoxy below the prima.
8. decorate stickles on arms and hands.
9. put buttons as "watch".
10. position lace on the pelvic area. adhere button on top of brown prima. stick the revet near it.
11. decorate legs and feet with pebeo paints.

BODY BACK:
12. stick barbara's bag accessory ( comes with the package) on her back for a kimono look. attach a metal charm too to complement an oriental style.

SKIRT:
13. cut a piece of 5x7 pattern paper and cut with fiskars edge cutters and style it into a skirt.
14. likewise make another of the same to be placed as an underskirt. use contrasting colors.
15. glue buttons to the outer skirt.

SHOES:

1. paint shoes with sepia accents.

2. use stickles on the edges of the shoes. let dry.

this is the side view of the skirt style. notice the underskirt which draws close to the body.
thanks for looking. you can substitute any doll to be your art doll. just dont let your barbie doll be one... most especially, dont show your art doll to your daughters unless they know what you are up to.
