altered clock for artzdescrap

this is my take on the July tutorial for Artzdescrap featuring Inspirational Scrapper YATIE TAJUDIN... you can view the said tutorial here

i got our house clock ( lol ) and decided to distress it!!! the kids said "mama, why did you changed our clock and made it looked ----??".

anyway, what i did to the sane clock:

1. painted with acrylic paint ( cream)
2. crackle painted the plastic casing, took out the glass cover too.
3. i also " dropped " alcohol inks over the crackle paints while still "wet" and so those big circles of alcohol puddles when dried cracked itself too!
4. fabric paints and primas are also incorporated.
5. i tried spraying with luminarte shimmering mist ( golden bamboo ) which turned out quite dark but the shimmer was fine.

July DT layouts for Visual Creations

these are my DT layouts for Visual Creations for the month of July featuring the Prima Whisper Collection. You can also view the layouts and the supplies used on the store's gallery here.

ANOTHER DAY TO REMEMBER

i used Radiant Rain ( solar gold ) on the blackboard chipboard ( cosmo cricket ) and inked the edges.

=========================================================

THE LOOK

i would like to share with you all a technique i discovered while playing with diamond glaze. you can mix it with antiquing ink and the effect would be so aged and classic.
i used it on a hambly transparency to create dimension.

=================================================================

THOUGHTS

look what tim holtz grungeboard can do to a layout! i love the effect!!! just ink it and koala...

the puffy embossing powder is really so cool!!! it could create a textured dimensioned accent... here, i also painted it with twinkling water for that shimmering effect.

TOGETHER

I seldom use stamps on my layout but i did it here.lol. the chipsboard sticker from basic grey is such a beauty!

thanks for looking!

scrapjam!

last july 5, 2008 was scrapjam day and what a day i may call it. i was not able to take lots of pics because the class was fast paced but i had a good time with the make and takes there. the freebies were so overwhelming and the food was so yummy! the prizes from attic and scrapbookshawaii were thumbs up! everyone enjoyed the games and challenges and i think the lucky ones really made their lucky day that day...

i am priviledged to have met marisa of scrapbookshawaii where i dt-ed for 6 months. she is a very lively person and very warm. you can feel her chemistry with the scrappers while the class was going on. her projects are so cool too!!! cant wait to post them soon...

till the next jam!!! it was so nice seeing new faces and old ones too!!!

altered galvanized iron pot

at last, this is the published page of the altered galvanized iron pot i submitted last month at READY SET CREATE e-zine.

get a galvanized iron pot. i got mine for 35pesos at the dapitan arcade.

i painted with gesso.

after the gesso dried , i painted with acrylic paint.

i also used chipboards and felts!

some close up views of the pot. i also added fabric paints to the felt swirl.

i also used the Hambly screenprints rubons which has giant rubons and suitable for big spaced stuffs like this iron pot.

just be sure to stick your elements well to the metal pot.
