junque journal

the pinoyscrapbookers girls decided to try a new venture... making a junque journal. i do not know if i am doing justice to my work but using old stashes and adding techniques makes the journal a unique creation.

binding : metal rings

embossing and using beeswax to give a matte finish look.

i also used atc carousel clips and wooden pegs with the ribbons

i also used a coats and clark zipper on the last back page where you can insert photos or anything.

beeswax glass container

playing with beeswax has never been more fun... this time, using glass containers as my guinea pigs, i decided to melt beeswax on "leche flan" containers ( known as llanera in filipino).

put some beeswax pellets inside the llanera then melt using heatgun. you would think its like an improvised melting pot!

roll the glass container to cover it with beeswax while still in liquid form. it would look almost like a frosted glass afterwards.

after few seconds, it will appear like candle wax on your container, see picture lowermost.

stamp on it and brush some sparkle...

containers are great just for anything and everthing...

backview...

close up of the beeswax sticking...
i also drown some diecuts onto the beeswax

featured at Be @ Home

i would like to share with you some good news! my blog ( this blog ) was featured at

Be @ Home ( click here )

“Starting my blog was a way to share my passion for scrapbooking. It was… an outlet for letting other people see that deep inside each person’s ability, a creative spark lurks. We just have to confront and make use of that art instinct and by sharing it with others, we shower them with inspiration.

“My blog site is not only about what I do but my growth as an scrapbooker and as a person, it is a journey of my life in what I create, what I believe and what my passion is really all about. I think a selfless sharer of what she knows is the best experience one can offer.” – Cabbie of A Shabby Passion

memories

made a layout using old rub ons, i think rub ons will always find its way to layouts even though for me, it may seem outdated already. rubons here ( memories.... )

stamping on canvas is as cool as it seems! while mixing fabric and papers are not against the rules...:)
