fancy bottle

time for the reveal after 30 days... this is my project for
in the october/november issue..thanks to those who took time to make comments!

there are similarities with the 3 bottles i altered because i did those in a span of a week, pure bottle making! lol. anyway, made use of alcohol inks too which are great with glass and rub ons are very attractive with bottle because they are semi-transparent.

fancy pants rub ons are my favorite! they adhere great on bottles and their designs are so classy and dreamy.

altered potpourri bottle

this is my sample take on the october tutorial by inspirational scrapper katherine saw at artzdescrap featuring how to make a potpourri bottle.

for my side, i used alcohol inks instead of stamps or rub ons. i also used vanilla hemp and accented it with epoxy sticker and silver garter. dried leaves as part of the potpourri was made into a decorative embellishment.

Idol 2 moments!

last october 4, 2008 was the 2nd scrappinmoms idol finale held at north greenhills clubhouse. i was given the perk of scrapping with the 10 finalists of the 2nd idol challenge...

look at the kit we were supposed to scrap with... tada!

my tablemates alby and dinah!!!!

this is what i came up with...

my layout entitled :

25th

it is a three kings layout... this layout was so fragile i have to be sure of their chained connection with each other. it never occured to me to even scrap those three kings but as fate would say, sometimes things just come out at the right moment.

don't you just love their red ties???lol

and look what they crowned me with before i handed it to Cookie Aguilar, who was named the 2nd Scrappinmoms Idol or Idol 2008, so to speak... A BEAUTIFUL FEATHERED CROWN brought by Lee!!!

i had a fun and challenging day last saturday. it was a priviledge to scrap with the top 10 finalists!!! congrats to all of you!

after the event, me-au-nita-cv-tin and mia went to arya at the promenade to savor persian food at arya. yummy spices! thanks to cv for the photo grab.

it was DEMO time at the finale....

hope i did justice to the alcohol inks here. thanks for the listeners este watchers of my mini demo. thanks to meng lim ( hubby of april lim) for the lovely photos!!!

Altered Starbucks bottle

this is my creation for Artzdescrap's DT assignment for the month of October. Head on to their website!! Just alter any bottle, be it starbucks, prima etc and you might just be the lucky winner for this month.

for my take, i used a Starbucks bottle...

a close up view of the rim.

how did i do it?

1. Get your bottle and paint with acrylic paint.

2. Let dry. Then use your alcohol inks!!!! dab dab or streak streak... for those who have not "opened" up their alcohol inks yet, now is the time... i used the copper mixative alcohol ink.

3. Since alcohol inks dry up easily, you can now decorate your bottle. I used rub ons because they adhere to the bottle easily.

the finale look with the rub ons.

you can also add blings or felt or anything which you might find desirable.
