a gift from Michelle Ku

definitely a surprise!!!! when i saw what mica films could do to a scrapbook artist like me, i immediately craved for it but to my dismay, mica films are not available here in our lss. and so when mich / chowchow ( from scrap-n-crop and scrappinkids ) knew about my longing ( lol ), she SENT some mica for me! i just cant believe the generosities of people who are so far away and yet tried their best to be the best of what they can be. i mean not because of what she sent that made me so thankful but such act of kindness definitely will be remembered not only by me but to those who happened to read this entry.

again, thank you michelle ku from malaysia!!!! i will definitely create the magic of mica soon.

birthday

this is my entry for busybee scrapbooking june sketch. i enjoy working with sketches because with it, i have an idea on how to layout everything from embellishments to photos. and there is always room for modification!

materials: k and company urban rhapsody. american craft and heidi swapp chipboard alphas; and ghost wings; making memories glitter diecuts, anna griffin chipboard;

notice how neat and clear the wings are attached to the chipboard??... thanks to the
KOKUYO DOT n' ROLLER!!!

the rolling adhesive is super dooper friendly and believe me, this is so clear you can see nothing visible especially for transparencies! you can also use this for anything from photos to papers. i really lovee this goody!!!
and if you need refills, it is readily available if you need to replace it.

altered heart box using transparent beads

this is my take on the June Tutorial at Artzdescrap on Altered Tin Can. I used a Heart box and covered it with pattern paper. no modge podge used.

I also punched holes on the edges of the cover with Crop a Dile.

this is the transparent beads i used on the chipboard accent. how did i go about it?

1. i used the Cosmo Cricket blackboard chipboard. i sanded the edge and inked it.
2. leaf pen was used to outline.
3. i then used sepia accent and sprinkled PEARL EX powders and TRANSPARENT BEADS to create a rather distressed and soot-like look. so much for a flower accent huh.

here, i just used tacky glue so that basically, everything is just transparent with a dash of Radiant Rain iridescent green which is not so visible.

by the way, the transparent beads and heart box were given to me by Jill Lim.

Island Cove Fun Flip-Over MiniBook

i finally had the chance to post the minibook we did during National Scrapbook Day ( May 5, 2008 ) at Visual Creations

Each of us were given sets of coordinated 6x6 Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste papers and Hambly Clear Overlays to work with and other embellishments were optionally provided by ourselves. We were also told to bring small pictures ( less than wallet size) preferably black and white.

then Scrap Away...

After completing the album in 5 hours more or less, we had it ZUTTERED using the Bind-It-All, which Mitch Sy owned... what a cool machine! i decided to make a flip-over minibook with 4 wire loops on each edge.

everybody enjoyed that day!!! you can also view a previous link here of what took place that day
