canvas mixed media

weeks ago, i made this "something" out of the blue while playing with the scrapbook girls. using mixed media stuffs like paints, 8 x 10 inches canvas, beeswax and glimmer glam along with various embellishments, i created a collage using graphic 45 papers.

close up a bit...

beeswax all over!

it was a great way to unwind... to get a free feel of creating out of the blue!

thank you SNR

three years ago, i was invited by the editors of scrapbook news and review online magazine to become part of their growing crew. from layouts to cards to tutorials, it has been a fun three years for me and my creativity. but life has changes and turnabouts and time has limits so after those escapades with them, i finally have to say goodbye. even if it was a hard decision on my part, it has to be done. i have no regrets whatsoever because i learned a lot and the most important lesson here is that changes are inevitable and that's what makes life challenging, it makes us grow and expands our artistic foray. thank you SNR for the good three years!

the bus

should have been "inside" the bus for the title. lol. but anyway, made another layout inspired by american craft and of course using my old stash. for the base i used fancy pants to have some kind of a contrast and an in between of vintage chic to graphic designs.

banners are beginning to create trends in layout designs. i seldom use it but i have fun here!

another Mixed Media class at Visual Creations

another mixed media class will be held at the Visual Creations store this coming July 9, 2011 ( saturday) from 11am - 5 pm. the class will showcase 4 beautiful mixed media layouts from yours truly and the talented Ime Oranga. there will also be an altered project to top it all.

since the class will only accommodate so little pupils, we hope that we can deliver most of our knowledge with the students. an informal setting with fun and sharing, its a class meant for the artists at heart and a freedom of our inner senses.

piano time

my two twin nieces anela and ailyse love to play the piano. i call them achi and shobe respectively and they are just so cute!

dressform from a good talented scrapbooker friend, Ime.

perfect pearls and some stamping.

family fun - a beeswax album

it's been awhile since i made a mini... and using beeswax as a base for all is so much fun!

i also used martha stewart microbeads and tinsels.

pure ranger beeswax in base.

thanks to suze weinberg tutorial, i brushed perfect pearls on the beeswax to create color effects and shimmer.

the beeswax can hold embellishments including metals.

thanks for looking! i enjoyed the process using only iron and heatgun.
