guest designer at Colorful Creations

wootee! i will be the guest designer for Colorful Creations from February 7-14, 2011. the good thing with this kind of achievement is that they "pick" you without you applying for them. its a different kind of thing though.

featured at Harmonie

last month, me and some girls were contacted via email from Harmonie ( Canada ) to create for them some products which they would be introducing. the package reached me last week and these are 2 layouts I came out with.

this is from their gallery.

here are my creations using their Isles du Pacifique line.

first layout: Fun in the Sun

their gold autocollants are very versatile. you can stick them even on chipboard and cut the outline.

their stamp pattern paper makes good embellishments too!

their vintage stamps are very nice!

------------------------------------

second layout: brothers love

for this one, i used paints as accents

laser cut chipboards-- no need to paint on them. their naked kraft color suited for all.

they have this acrylic embellishments where you can paint beneath and add stickers too.

they also have buttons! i adhere them on top of stamped images.

thank you for looking. it was such an honor to be featured.

altered Bento Box Card Holder

do you have these plastic bento boxes???? or if not, some microwavable containers lying around?

then why not make them useful???

a card holder to give to your loved ones perhaps?

join me in my quest.

by the way, this was published over at scrapbooking.com Earth Day feature last month.

----------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO??

1. first, get a container. i use a bento box i got from a japanese surplus store which sells these new boxes for 50pesos per 100 pieces!!! kewl!

2. for the next procedure, have you ever been to CraftWorld at SM megamall ground floor near Toy Kingdom? then you will find this there.

i got this Felt Powder. get a foil glue too for adhering.

3. brush the foil glue on your chipboard.
wait for a few seconds. don't let it dry.

4. sprinkle some felt powder over the glue.

for some accents, i added acrylic paint and Diamond Glaze on the edge of this felt powder coated chipboard.

let's look at the bento box.

1. crop-a-diled the 2 holes for attachment of fibers which serve as enclosures.

2. i also pierced the midline of the paper... guess what is the significant of this pierced area?

you guessed it right! it serves as an opening for your dear card!

and a bentox box won't be complete without an altered CHOPSTICKS too!

just painted the chopsticks with acrylic paint and stamped images on it.

and so there you have it,

an ALTERED BENTO BOX CARD HOLDER

happy eating... errr, happy reading the card!

fancy bottle

time for the reveal after 30 days... this is my project for
in the october/november issue..thanks to those who took time to make comments!

there are similarities with the 3 bottles i altered because i did those in a span of a week, pure bottle making! lol. anyway, made use of alcohol inks too which are great with glass and rub ons are very attractive with bottle because they are semi-transparent.

fancy pants rub ons are my favorite! they adhere great on bottles and their designs are so classy and dreamy.
