altered mailbox
for the month of june at artzdescrap, DT Candy Lagazon shares her tutorial on a self-made mailbox using corrugated and illustration boards.
this is my take on it using toy boxes from my kids' supposed-to-be-thrown-away boxes...
just imagine the things you can do with these, saving the environment and adding creativity as well!

Create a layout using "age" as a title. Journal about the significance of that age for you or that person you are scrapping about. What realizations do you have as you contemplate on that particular age. ( DT liza bermudez's challenge)

– 2Sketches4You 1st Annual Ultimate Card Showdown
The World of Card Making unites over Denver via the Internet.
2 Sketches 4 You hosts a month-long mega card contest to inspire, challenge and reward cardmakers.
Tim Hammonds from Scor-it and Kazan Clark and Laura Davis from 2 Sketches 4 You invite all paper crafters to “attend” the 2 Sketches 4 You 1st Annual Ultimate Card Showdown—the most extravagant card challenge event to hit the blogesphere since the dawn of the Internet!
Beginning June 1st and lasting the entire month, participants will use the blog’s weekly inspiration sketch to create cards to submit for that week’s challenge. Each week, one person will win Card of the Week and that week’s sponsored prize. The first week 30 finalists will advance to the next round, then 20 will advance the week after that, then 10 and then 5. Each finalist will receive prizes from select sponsors. A panel of judges will choose winners, and prizes will be awarded to finalists who advance each week.
At the end of week four, 2 Sketches 4 You will crown one artist The Ultimate Card Showdown winner! The grand prize includes over $500 in products from contributing sponsors.
Additional prizes will be awarded through weekly random drawings.
Participants may join in any of the weekly challenges. But to be eligible for the grand prize, artists must begin on June 1st at http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com.
Sponsors of The Ultimate Card Showdown include: Clearsnap, Inky Antics, Sakura of America, Scor-it, Starving Artistamps, Sulyn Industries, Teresa Collins and Zutter Innovative Products.
In addition to being exhibited on the blogsite, winning contest entries may be published in print and/or on-line publications as deemed appropriate by Scor-it and 2 Sketches 4 You. Winners will be notified prior to any additional usage and designer credit will be given, but winners will not be compensated for further usage beyond the prizes already awarded
2 Sketches 4 You boasts 2 great assets—Kazan Clark, born and raised in South Africa and Laura Davis raised in the Mile High City, Denver, Colorado. Kazan brings her intensity and good humor, while Laura balances with her wholesome American good nature and creativity.
Kazan says, “our blog has followers around the world and we welcome international participation in The Ultimate Card Showdown.”
Participants should check out the blog, http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com early and often to get more details about the contest. The challenge awaits! The prizes are ready!
