here is my sneak peek for april's mid month tutorial at artzdescrap... watch out for it!

happiness

in the midst of a hot weather, i was able to scrap a layout different from what i usually do. i love the green stack from DCWV and was able to utilize my old stash.

so much for the hot weather...

boys will be boys

this picture was taken during Foldabots' 2nd book launching. Andrew posts with the author Jomike Tejido at Fully Booked Serendra last year.

donuts in a box

i made these stamped donuts from hero arts for my cousin claire...

each donut is stamped and colored.

the box was also handmade and punched on the edges.

the birds from hero arts wooden stamps are a great addition to the design.

chipboards from maya road and american craft are so cute.

to complete everything, i painted some sandwich picks for that realistic look.

makes me

at journal junkie, i created a mixed media gesso primed canvas which i painted with acrylic and decorated with glass bead gel and Smooch accent inks. i also used vintage pages and brushed with gel medium to seal it.

the theme is all about what makes you mad.

i also used smooch to line the edges of the canvas.

altered collaged tile

this month at artzdescrap, we are to alter a tile. do visit artzdescrap for this month's inspirational scrapper, 

Vicky Flinchum. her tutorial on an altered ceiling tile is very beautiful! 

my take on a Mariwasa ( a local brand ) tile where i collaged vintage pages ( thanks Mia Caniza ) with Mod Podge, sprayed with Radiant Rain solar gold for that gold tinge. i also added Prima flowers and some assorted chipboards. Kaiser craft acrylic paints are also used here.

using gouache paints as the medium here, i tried to create multi colored background and doodling some alien ants.

just want to share a sneak peek of my altered canvas painting/collage at journaling junkie. i am quite happy with the way the canvas turned out because there are lots of techniques involved here. it would be a great experience to share this artwork with others, in the future.

altered egg

for the month of march, the crew's assignment is to alter an egg. this was previously published at snr online magazine and i am as proud to make it as a contribution to artzdescrap's march challenge.

easter is near and hope this would serve as an inspiration for you to do your easter egg creation.

till now, the egg is still inside my refrigerator! nobody dared touch it. i was just wondering why.

another creation for valentines day at scrapbook news and review january issue.  thank you to Ching Phillips for the naked kraft slippers which she encouraged me to alter!

i used glass beads gel to have the effect of "glass slippers".

always and forever

inspired by the decorative accents at Tin's Tagaytay Home, i took some shots of this asian piece of art. this so simple layout here describes my favorite color to scrap... tinge of green, bw pictures and some oranges to go with it.
