one of the tourist spot in zamboanga city. this fort was built by the spaniards to shield the people from the invading moros.

8 days of drought

its been a week of drought, of not touching my scrapbook stuffs, of not making layouts and yet sometimes i think i did not miss it. maybe its because when you are not with them, you wont miss them. at first there is this sense of missing something, a sense of not-enough to do since i am 'always" with my stuffs and making layouts but now--i feel i can live without it. i am not saying i am leaving this scrapbooking carriage of mine but i think when you are in another place, scrapbooking may not be your priority.

maybe and maybe, i associate scrapbooking with home. scrapbooking with hobby. scrapbooking with relaxation.

hok guan temple

another beautiful temple is the hok guan temple. this was also renovated years ago.

this is the original fish pond fronting the temple.

caburihan temple

this is one of the beautiful temples in zamboanga city. this was renovated years ago. the temple area is composed of 4 buildings. 2 for offerings, 1 for the mess area and the other for the monk's quarter. the goddess statue was donated by my uncle.

the crab

the crabs here are so yummy! so fat! so white! our resto serves good crab. this crab here was cooked using the steam technique, garnished with garlic and egg white sauce.

the tree house

this tree house is very famous in zamboanga city pasonanca park. i have been up there

when i was a little girl, how woody how comfty up there!

butterfly garden

the butterfly garden is located at the jardin, pasonanca park. though small in comparison with other big sanctuaries, butterflies here are abundant. you can see dark brown butterflies hovering above you. there is also a flowing garden of water to soothe the atmosphere of the netted paradise.

the monument of ma. clara lobregat

Passing by pasonanca, you can see the monument of the late mayor of zamboanga city, mrs. ma. clara lobregat. this monument was made in bronze and was designed by lee imao's husband, Toym Imao, a well known artist in manila. this is indeed a work of art because the monument really looks like mrs. lobregat! and it really captured her aura in a statue.

the monument is located in a jardin and is a good place for relaxation and medication. the small park boasts of landscaping but although not yet fully constructed, stylish chairs can be found on the vicinity. there is also a butterfly garden inside the jardin.
