princess masako

i can't help but comment on this book. this book is quite controversial so when i saw this on nbs' bookstand last bookfair, i got hold of it immediately. you see, princess masako was my secret idol way back when she became princess, an intelligent girl whose passion for the academics and career made her a very potential candidate... or bride so to speak.


and so when i saw this book-- about the tragedy ( oh well, i have not been following her up like a stalker), all i could say was i really pity her. she has somewhat wasted her what you call "up the ladder" life. no one to blame, we really do not know. it was her choice ( or was it?)...


read up this title. a surely beautiful read. it will make you float inside her life. inside her dreams and somehow, inside her sad life.

this is my first layout after weeks of drought and rut... so busy with school works of my kids sometimes i have no more time to think of what to scrap!!! lol.

for this layout, you can also find it at the scrappinkids forum ( mini me challenge ). i used a two toned color scheme for the stamp to enhance contrast for each paper used, that is, dark and light and so i used white and black inks.

ienne's 18th

last july, the sabado night girls ( from girls' night out group) attended Ienne's 18th debut party. Ienne is the daughter of our dear friend Tin Yao. It was such an exciting party!!!!! we really enjoyed that rainy night.. the food was thumbs up, the drinks were uber yummy ( not to mention what me and au drank that night!) music was great and the crowd was fantastic!!! we went home full...a souvenir of wine, flipflops and a canvass tote too!!! we also had a series of free pictorials at the instant photo booth. wow!

altered CD album

this is my tutorial sample for artzdescrap's september midmonth tutorial with CD album. check out artzdescrap's tutorial here!

i used damaged CDs and painted it with MM asphalt acrylic paint instead of black gesso in the tutorial. i also adhered ribbons onto the edges.

for the binding, i just punch it with crop-a-dile and used leather strings.

altered favor gift box

for my two dear friends in scrapbooking! hope you don't get to read this before i give the gift boxes to both of you... lol

i got this favor box, actually it is a wedding favor box from Gourdo's at a good price. it is easily assembled. just fold and a hexagonal box will be assembled.

another punch out and stamping ( pink paisley) done with black staz on. i also added a metal brad.

this was supposed to be included in the Saling-Kit category at ScrappinMoms Idol 2 but i think i did not meet the criteria of having two photos and so, i will just have to post it here.

materials : hambly screenprints; prima papers; making memories die cuts and metal accents; rusty pickle transparency; inkadinkadoo stamps;

atc can

last PS eyeball meeting ( august ), the scrappers were made to create their own ATC can. This is my take on the tin can using the following materials:

tin can
american craft ribbon
prima flower
american craft thickers
rangers crackle paint
making memories acrylic paint
inque botique stamp
melissa frances paper

this tin can can accomodate less than 5 atcs only unless you take off the cover and alter it again.

a new look

just wanting to share a new look of my nook. well, actually a new addition to the family which my dear hubby agreed to... for a reason of course!

Memoir- an altered chipboard journal

this is my DT project for September over at artzdescrap featuring an altered chipboard journal

MEMOIR.

the resident DTs were given raw chipboards and several heavyweight cardstocks to alter. this is what i came up with...

we also have to assemble the 3-piece chipboards and cardstock ourselves.

a piece of key grungeboard which i dearly love!!!!

the back portion where i painted with MM red ruby glaze and accented it with Dove of the East papers.you can also visit artzdescrap for their monthly challenge !!!
