thank you

reaching 39 is something to ponder about, it's an age where i have to say goodbye to the 3's and welcoming the 4. in chinese culture, i am already 40. every birthday, i feel as if time is consuming my life. as life gets shorter as your birthday comes, my friend told me a positive thing, i should be thankful i have to count all the years i had lived. that's more important than thinking of my life being shortened as the years passed.

i know i had lived a somewhat happy life but of course, nothing is perfect. there may be frustrations and shortcomings and so many other things that will come and go but one thing for sure, i just wish my birthday wish will come true... but of course, that's a secret nobody should know. :)

bunch of flowers and a cake for me from my family. indeed, i want to celebrate it in a different way.

cling

my third layout for studio azul...
i love the mix and match of colors here even though it's a boy layout! what can flowers do to a boy layout?

splattering some martha stewart microbeads...

stamping on american crafts thickers will transform them from boring solid colors to a highlighted and patterned chipboard title..

14 layouts in 15 hours.

last october 8, 2011, a couple of friends ( mostly Pinoyscrapbookers moderators ) were invited by Tin Yao to celebrate the post-party of Scrapbuffet at their place in Tagaytay City ( Midlands). We arrived at a rainy morning while some girls went ahead already. It was a scrap all you can event where we "INDULGE" in everything scrappy! Can you imagine the papers all you can EAT... i mean USE?? stamps, inks, punchers, embellishments and FOOD to your delight? not to mention the cheese and wine that went with it? I will have to post some pics soon because it would be unjust not to..

anyway, here are my 14 layouts i did in 15 hours. Straight 15 hours non stop. Some of my friends finished 25 layouts! can you imagine that?

this is my best friend's wedding a couple of years back. i look thin here!

studio azul kit

by next week, i will be posting layouts i made with Studio Azul's October kit ( Think Good Thoughts) where i am a Guest Designer. i am so excited with the kit, gorgeous choice of papers and embellishments which are so shabby and chic! Thanks Tin Yao of Studio Azul for the that opportunity!
watch out for it!

a postcrosser like me

happy postcrossing! i have been a member of Postcrossing.com for over 2  years and have received more than 600 postcards so far. i have ran out of storage but i am happy with all the clutters! you see, i do not only receive postcards in return but stickers, ephemeras, tickets or bookmarks as well not to mention bank notes from all over the world. of course i also send them tokens of appreciation! here is a particular postcrosser who sent me crochet stuffs! so surprising because i think she saw my profile interest and holly molly, she is also another hooker like me and so this remembrance which i am so happy to receive in the mail...

postcrossing has made my life more interesting.. even in the snail mail part of our system, i still am very excited to receive something from the mail once in a while.

currently, i rank 2nd in the philippines for the most number of postcards sent... how about that?!

secret scraplift layout

a creation i did in 45 minutes including choosing papers, design and taking a photo and uploading it. last month, the girls at pinoyscrapbookers decided to do a SECRET SCRAPLIFT where 30 more or so girls were randomly grouped into 2 groups. each group will scrap a layout emailed to them from the girl on top of their names. in the end, the group who scraps first wins.

i am one of the girls in group 2 and we won! we won by a couple of hours ahead of group 1. it was an experience where time and pressure definitely will test your creativity.

this was promoted over at pinoyscrapbookers facebook site.

greatest of them all...

another G45 layout creation using the le cirque collection.
one thing i noticed about G45 papers is that you tend to cut them to make them stand out. you do not need that much techniques here because the papers are enough to make a technique out of your layout. just some tearing, layering and inking and its done...

thanks to ime for the wonderful birdcage diecut which i used as a cage for the acrobats..

cutting out letters serving as borders...
