altered plastic plant pot

this is the plastic plant pot my hubby gave me as a valentine gift (well of course with 6 tulips)-- i just cant seem to throw the pot away and so i altered it. guess what would i put in here?

brand strips of the pps i used-- those strips you have to trim when you use your pps! i dont throw them away too!

this is to guage how much pps i have used already. serves as an inspiration too!

process:

* clean the plastic pot.
* paint with gesso
* let dry and paint with acrylic paint.
* decorate with pattern paper. i have to cut them into squares so that the pps would stay straight when glued.
* in my case, i attached the weaved strings over the ribbon for decorative purposes.
* get a chipboard. i painted it with LD glaze. attach to pot.
* get an HS flower and attach a biggie brad or button. dont attach it to pot for the meantime.
* i also streak-stamped with white frost (colorbox) over the bare areas.
* paint the whole pot with decoupage glue including the pps and ribbons except the attached chipboard.
* glue the flower last beside the chipboard.

A dressed monogram

i got this monogram from ms airees and dressed it in various BG papers. A is for awesome because scrapbooking is so awesome! another good entry to my droughty BG gallery.

we are in red

red is also for boys and when my boys are in red i feel as if they are so fierce and courageous not to mention that they enjoy playing with each other and fighting (!) too! oh boys are they!!! in this layout, it is chinese new year and to celebrate, they are in red.

scrapmeet trophy

scrapmeet 3 won us the championship in the scraptrivia's team category. i and mitch sy garnered the first place... well, sometimes it pays off when you visit a site regularly... for infos or events. lee/tin and helga/liezl won 2nd and 3rd place respectively. it was a day of fun and excitement. coupled with the trophy, we each received one paper pack kit too!

life

i saw this pic of mine lying around.. thought i might make use of it. though this is just a cam pic shot inside the car, i find it so mysterious. my emotion was mixed, questionable-- oh well, i forgot the detail of this pic but somehow exude something i cannot comprehend.

materials used: bazzill ( the comeback), 7 gypsies, ribbons. i sanded the borders of my pic; used stickers for the title.

i was the gospel reader during my best friend's wedding last july 2006.
materials used: fancy pants, daisy d's, dcwv papers. amm monogram, kelly pannaci and some stickers.

RO's birthday accordion card

this is the accordion card i made for Ro on his birthday. i used the blank base from the raffle draw ( last SE christmas party). DONT THROW AWAY YOUR MM FOAM STAMPS PACKAGE!! i used it for my packaging... look at the birthday wishes box design, i covered it with American Craft ppr, embellished some local fabric flowers and used the KandC chipboard saying for birthday wishes.

i stamped the front page with LD crillon and embossed with gold. faux wax seal completed the front title front page.


i distressed the photo with Ranger's Old Paper. i also printed our picture on "retaso" from my son's white pants. ( ro was altering the length the night before his birthday thats why)


handwritten dedication written on LD journal stamp, embossed with pink. i also used 7 gypsies tape adhesive on the centerfold. the word RO was done by using BG mini monogram chipboard and embossed with fuschia, gold and silver. i cut the angel design from a Robert Frederick Ltd. card i got from powerbooks.
various pps used are: daisy d's, cosmo cricket and some BGs. ah one more thing, thanks to joanne yap's cuttlebug dry embossing template. cool! then chalked it afterwards.

this is aeisha in green. i used autumn leaves here. and some stickers from 7 gypsies/doodlebug. the hambly transparency is oh so good to use! i also embossed the border of the title with pearl violet.

haribon entry

joining the haribon challenge was really an experience. we get to pick our own pictures blindly-in-luck and with that pic, we have to procure our own papers and match the pics. in 2 hours, one has to produce a layout. tensed and unprepared, well some are relly prepared with a sketch in mind, we set off into the world of our own.

imagine imaginisce!! thats what this paper is all about. i have to cut some more designs and ink it to make it look 3d. i also used crystal brads. i decided to put the pic on the upper right side just for experimental purposes. monograms from daisy d's.

big aetom

this layout is so called because aetom's name is soooo big. this font is from Around the Block and is soo big, so i have to cut some strips to mask the big font, or didnt it?

i love this layout because i was able to capture aedan and me using only my phone cam.

i embossed gold and silver with the chipboard M. some stickers from urban lily and rub ons from 7 gypsies. these are papers from autumn leaves.

this is a simple layout which i dont usually do in terms of plain cs as background. i used embossing technique with the word "family".. mm foam stamps on the right upper side and flowery stamp. handwritten the journalling with triplus.

mini eb

last night, we had a mini eb at nita ang's place. i arrived at 625pm and just in time for a yummy dinner of causeway toppings. present were of course nita, au, mitch sy, lee. joyce arrived a bit late already. we shared albums, talked about scrapbooking stuffs too! au was in her happy state of course all the time. nita was a great hostess-- as usual and i love her house!very very cozy with an elegant decorative taste. mitch sy showed her "newbie" layouts!! doesnt look newbie to me. lee shared some tips on painting, thanks lee. joyce stayed for a while only.

i left an hour later after mitch and joyce. but i really enjoyed the mini-eb! paging, nita, till the next one again.

tag bookmark demo with preschoolers

i just finished the tag bookmark demo with the preschoolers. it was such an exciting experience because you can see 2.5-4 yr olds doing the bookmark and stamping the images on their papers. i think they are very curious with the feel of the fibers.

it was a simple make and take demo with them. and i am glad i have shared some of my happiness with them.
