last july 21, 2007, we had an eb at mitch sy's beautiful house. the challenge was taken from pagemaps and we were to interpret the sketch. materials used: american craft, MME , heidi grace pps; AC thickers. Lil davis stamps. voting was done but i was not around to do so coz i have to leave early. nevertheless, i think all the layouts were excellent.

international awards

many many philippine scrappers are already on the road to international stardom. there is a trend here and you might notice that the best among the crop are those who are on the roadtrip to success. well, it seems like scrapbooking is indeed a competition. here and there, we compete to challenges, i mean the goal of preserving memories far outweigh everything but we compete, and with this, there is the certainty that we want to win to let other people know that we are the best...to let others know that we have an award to boast and this is pride which is just human nature so to speak.

i hope that through challenges, we could still be able to maintain camaraderie among ourselves. let this be not "ako ang the best, ako ang magaling, kame ang magaling"... let preserving memories be the sole goal of scrapbooking. challenges are for fun, let it be this way.

i am in for challenges and i admire people who bag awards because really, they have a "say" but i just hope this is not personal competition. i just hope this is for fun and scrapbooking by all means are friendships and fun and everything, outlets etc. right?

crystal case ( available in white, neon green) at ace hardware. 119p each. i love them because they are made of clear plastic, seems breakable though but nevertheless looks good on display.

i got those 2 boxes over at papelmeroti to store some of my acrylic stamps (intact package). 59p each. A4 size.

viola durable plastic stackables from malaysia at ace. 199p each. rubons and some stickers are stored here for convenience.

a nook inside my room

everybody dreams of having her own scraproom, who doesn't anyway right? but for me, i am contented to have my scrap area near me and that's inside our own room. i dont know if hubby thinks the same way... well i got this fantastic table from nita ang and i just so love it! hope i was able to give justice to this.



i have yet to buy more storages to be placed underneath. my other stuffs are on my other laminated cabinets and had to be sorted out yet.

couple of mags, sketches in clearbooks, an artbin and not seen is a paperbox where i put my minibooks/altered stuffs. on the right side are my pps, stickers.

the back which is hidden facing the wall contains some chipboards and stamps.

these are my stamps, foam, some rubber and acrylics placed inside cd's to minimize space.

me and the crocs

aedan was looking at the crocs and made me wanna take a shot behind his back. he was so engrossed with these creatures though. materials are from imagination project and around the block. i deliberately misaligned the phrase of my favorite memories to alter the linearity of the weaved papers. tell me im trying to ruin the paucity of the layout.

i used daisy d's paper and vellum, american craft thickers with stamps on it. tags from hotp and aas. i also used stamps from crillon (lil davis). crystal brads from mm. these pics are of me and ro... sweet memories indeed! i dont know if the tearing, folding of my vellum stands correct.

altered binder journal

i made this binder journal from sarabinder ( thanks sahrie for taking time to ship this special order...) with papers from sassafras and dreamstreet. i also painted the cover with metallic rose from lil davis. ribbons and charms from MM, AC and 7gypsies. chipboards from kc and IP. the foam stamp on the right upper side is not so obvious.

this binder contains my expenses, challenges skeds ( as if i would be joining all), bank accounts of the sellers, scrapbook sites. i also cut some scraps that would serve as my papers! wow imagine writing on pps... cool. sarabinder surely is a great buy and own! oh, i still have some space for my wishlists too.
