many many philippine scrappers are already on the road to international stardom. there is a trend here and you might notice that the best among the crop are those who are on the roadtrip to success. well, it seems like scrapbooking is indeed a competition. here and there, we compete to challenges, i mean the goal of preserving memories far outweigh everything but we compete, and with this, there is the certainty that we want to win to let other people know that we are the best...to let others know that we have an award to boast and this is pride which is just human nature so to speak.
i hope that through challenges, we could still be able to maintain camaraderie among ourselves. let this be not "ako ang the best, ako ang magaling, kame ang magaling"... let preserving memories be the sole goal of scrapbooking. challenges are for fun, let it be this way.
i am in for challenges and i admire people who bag awards because really, they have a "say" but i just hope this is not personal competition. i just hope this is for fun and scrapbooking by all means are friendships and fun and everything, outlets etc. right?

Hi Cabbie! Agree with you completely. Basta as far as Pia, Iris and I are concerned, we're all just having fun -- even when we end up competing against each other in contests. It's nice to win, pero believe me when I say, na ok lang din kami pag natatalo kami -- basta we're happy with the LOs that we made.
yea i also agree with you ladies.. i decided with this entry because i feel that everything would go into waste especially our friendships when we move and act into the wrong direction but i am happy really that there are really scrappers who scrap with their heart and because they love the craft so much!!

Totally agree with you Cabbie! I believe that those challenges should just be icing on the cake. I think you've hit it in your post.
comment accidentally deleted but same comment yun of liza. anyway, thanks ladies for commenting( hheheh) i mean lets all be in a smoothsailing condition. that way, scrapbooking will more exciting and fun right? after all, if we have unhealthy competitions, mas tense yun and we wont like that. o diba. yun lang.
