altered wooden and metal hanger

time for another mid month tutorial at artzdescrap. time sure flies so fast! artzdescrap has been going on for over a year and through those months of creativity many DTs have come and go, this time, one of our DT member, christine has to leave for reasons beyond her control. even though she has not started her stint yet, her blog was amazing to us.

anyway, here is my take on the hanger tutorial which you can find here

i tried to modify and add techniques. by the way, i was not able to take a Before picture of the wooden and metal hanger though...

painted the chipboard bird, wings and branch ( maya road ) with acrylic paint and glitter glue ( making memories). i also added Smooch for the accented look!

Golden Pumice gel with perfect pearls.
Smooch ( blue ) on chipboard.

Golden Pumice gel all over the wooden hanger.
1. gesso first.
2. mix pumice gel and acrylic paint.
3. paint.

lace wrapped around the handle to make the hanger more dainty!

i also incorporated alcohol inks on the metal to add color !

a thing about techniques: adding techniques to your works create a spark. it is a way to emphasize and divert from the usual. it is what makes you as an artist unique.
